Smile :) Welcome to another Sweet Cherry Card blog filled with creative goodness. Today we show you how a simple stencilled background can add such interest to your coloured image. The image we are playing with is that mischievous cat 'bandit' from Sassy Cheryl's and he is a cutie. We also have a time lapse video on instagram showing how this project unfolded. Colouring with Copics The cat was first coloured with the folllowing copic markers YR07, YR04, YR14, YR02, Y19, R20, R00, 100, C7, C5, W2, W0, B18, B06, B04. Notice that I added strokes in the direction of the artist's outline of the cat's fur, to give it a multicoloured look. For a different look, you can also add some random black patches of fur. After colouring, the stencil was overlayed over the coloured image and distress ink tumbled glass was used to add colour to the background. Finally the stamp 'laugh' was inked on to the coloured background. Here is the project a
It's Earth Day! Hi all... it's Earth Day today. Today we have the opportunity to do something good for the environment; whether it is planting a tree, a flower, taking a walk in the garden or deciding not to throw garbage in your immediate environment.....please be kind to the Earth! Its all we have..... Today I am featuring a cute dolphin; image from Kit and Clowder . Coloured using copic markers in gray and yellow. Image by lyasco from Pixabay Colours used were C07, C05, C03, C01, C0, Y35, Y19, Y15, Y13 I used a rain drop stencil for the droplets, coloured with Distress inks in tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon.
